We are all Volunteers, and we are here to help.
We can assist with groundings, flat batteries, break downs or out of fuel.
Of course our primary role is Search and Rescue.
We are also designated by the Queensland Ambulance Service as The First Responder Service to our area for medical assistance.
We can offer you an Extended Service Associate Membership for just $70 a year, which covers you from All areas south of the Eric Early Light (in the vicinity of the northern tip of Lamb Island) to the North Arm of the Coomera River, and including the Logan and Albert Rivers and Jumpinpin Bar and includes coverage down to Southport and North to Bribie Island under the Terms and Conditions of our Extended Service Agreement.
Any charges for a service carried out by another VMR Squadron or Rescue Organization would be at your own expense, unless it is in our area of operations and we were unable to assist, then we may reimburse expenses to an affiliated VMR Squadron with a prior consent.
Please be aware we are not a commercial salvage business. We are here to help fellow boaties.
Our Charter, Insurance, Licence and Survey Regulations allow us to assist you on the water when in distress and there is an immediate danger to life or property. We can tow your vessel back to 'safe harbour' or in most cases your point of departure or launching that trip. We can not tow your vessel from one safe harbour to another for routine maintenance or repair. That is the task for a commercial operator.
